Participants will acquire the skills and confidence to moderate a group of participants through the steps of the GOPP or LFA planning procedure. They will thoroughly understand and practice the specific techniques to make workshop participants feel safe and at ease to make them share even sensitive issues and contribute with daring proposals.
This exciting and intensive 5-day course is designed for those wanting to become moderators, i.e. facilitators mastering Goal Oriented Project Planning (GOPP) or Logical Framework Analysis (LFA) participatory planning techniques. The course introduces GOPP / LFA, enhances the techniques of facilitation (E.g. “Parroting” and active listening, amongst others), and, using a selected case, trains participants in a planning and decision-making process (From analysing the parties involved to the Logical Framework, using problem and objective trees building, scoping and clustering). The approach of the course is practical.
Participants, each in turn guided by the trainers, perform all the aspects of the planning process in front of the whole group and thus apply and consolidate moderation techniques on the spot. Video feedback (“The never blinking eye”) is used extensively as a learning tool. Lunches are provided; Accommodation needs to be booked separate and is excluded from the course fee.
This course is delivered in collaboration with Frank Little (Provenium/BFL).
