An ‘eye-opener’ on various conscious and unconscious gender related biases in and between different societies and cultures that affect communication and perceptions within teams and between consultants and ‘beneficiaries’. This module is a ‘must’ to design, monitor and evaluate relevant, feasible and sustainable interventions.
The course is a very useful and interesting follow-up on the Introductory – and Monitoring & Evaluation courses on Project Cycle Management to elaborate on mainstreaming gender elements in the phases of the project cycle.
Ample examples of gender aspects will demonstrate differences in perceptions and thus induce crucial differences in formulation of Terms of Reference and program design.
A lot of emphasis is given to the identification of gender sensitive indicators (parameters). Learning will happen primarily through experiencing the implications demonstrated in case studies and exercises.
