Conduct towards clients
LFA Moderators ……
- adhere to the LFA method (e.g. participatory and procedurally)
- ensure professional quality of services (e.g. moderation behaviour, flexibility, reporting)
- strive at participants owning the results of the workshop
- respect confidentiality agreements with regard to sensitive client information
- explain strengths and weaknesses of LFA in a given context (e.g. time frame, complexity, objectives, participants)
- do not accept workshop assignments with predefined results (no alibi workshops)
Characteristics of an LFA moderator
An LFA moderator …..
- assures equal participation of all participants
- is a good listener and observer
- is punctual (good time manager)
- is trust worthy: says what (s)he does and does what (s)he says
- is flexible (adapts the LFA tool to circumstances in the workshop in respect of the methodology and in respect of the programme)
- has confidence in participants and takes them seriously
- maintains neutrality and independence
- does not interfere in the content
