Moderators who apply Logical Framework Analysis participatory analysis and planning procedures endorse the following professional behaviour:
‘FACILITATION’ … a simple hobby or a real profession?
While thinking of the next upcoming FACILITATION Training I think it could be nice to share a little our concerns on teaching this very special course.And in connection with the other discussion on the difference between a COACH and a FACILITATOR one of the interesting challenges is to change a ‘consultant’ (= coach?) into a ‘moderator’ or ‘facilitator’.
Frustration … about poor collaboration?
“Why have we not done this six years earlier ?”
… that is what the CEO commented after a workshop of just one day, in which Erik facilitated the release of many build-up frustrations that blocked the co-workers from different Departments.
Together we discussed and analysed their causal relationships and prioritised the issues at stake.
We brainstormed solutions from which we all selected and agreed how to go ahead….
… and everybody was impressed at the end that we finally talked about their frustrations and regained new energy to perform even better than ever before.
Formulation Leprosy Program in Cambodia
A very exciting experience with LFA was in November when I was requested to coach and facilitate a formulation process for a Revitalised Provincial Leprosy Elimination Program in Cambodia.
